Jesus Picked You, and Calls You Friend
Jesus offered his flesh as a once-and-for-all sacrifice for your and my sin. What a good friend he is! Are you and I willing to help a friend in the same way?

We may believe we have no attachments that stand in the way of our relationship with the Lord, yet He understands our hearts better than we do.
Experiencing Our Inadequacy
Faith calls us to go beyond what we see and believe in God based on His word and history. The problem is that we all to often forget history, the things that God has done for us, and we focus on what is in front of us. And when we do this we begin to doubt.
Caution Against Spiritual Drifting.
Disregard for God's Word, prayer, and corporate worship. These are the tools that Christ has given His church in order for them to be rooted in the truth and mature spiritually.
Love and Pursuit of God.
As with pursuing the Lord, it's an ongoing effort to get to know Him better and better follow Him. In order to spend time with God, one must be willing to put aside time for it. Cultivate a desire to get rid of anything that might get in the way of our growing closer to God.
God is Concerned About What You Need.
Jesus is teaching that the most important thing to seek is that which is eternal and protected by Him, and that is the spiritual need.
God’s Comfort and Guidance.
Have you ever felt like the weight of the world is on your shoulders or that your trials are just more than you can bear? The thing to realize, and remember is that you are no different than anyone else. God is there to bring us through whatever we face in life.
Knowing the Peace of God
When we feel weak and weary, it is not because we suffer from a lack of available power. The power of God that created the heavens and the earth, and that raised Jesus from the dead is made available to us, faith, prayer, and faithful obedience to the commands of God.
Goals and Purpose
If you were asked, “What are your three goals in life?” What would you say if you knew you could achieve them? Would any of them be spiritual or would they be focused on family and career?
Do These and Remain in the Lord’s Presence
Successful Christian living is not easy. In fact it is not something people are successful at on their own. It seems the more one tries to be a good Christian the greater the misery and difficulty it becomes.
